Some more about me:

I was born and raised in rural Wisconsin, and this peaceful environment nurtured my love for the outdoors, gardening, and fishing alongside reading and writing. I'm now a student at the University of Iowa, where I major in English and Creative Writing. There I've discovered that, in addition to creative writing, I'm also interested in cover design, journalism, and teaching. I'm now an assistant designer for Earthwords literary magazine, an editor for the Midwestern Citizen, and a writing tutor. Additionally, I've had the incredible opportunity to be a Dance Marathoner this year!

My favorite things to do include fishing, leaving positive sidewalk chalk messages for folks to find, playing board games, learning new things, and of course...READING AND WRITING! (Don't ask me about my favorite book, that's a long list). When asked the question, "What's your favorite thing?" my response will likely be "People." My three ultimate passions are to love well, to learn constantly, and to write. I'm finding new ways to do that every day.
